Hold onto your hat!

Wow what a windy day, my day started off at 3am when the power went out for the first time only to come back on. I went down stairs to check the time so I could reset the alarm for my husband. Just as I was settling back into bed it went out again. This time I went down stairs to grab my husband’s cell so he had an alarm. At 4am the phone rings and my husband is called into work. Matt is a snow plow driver so in the winter time he is on call 24 hrs. It is now 9:30pm and he is sound asleep, he was home with us for 3hrs today in between shifts. Long enough to have our 4 year anniversary dinner. I watched the news to see just how high the wind got today 45 mph can you believe that.

With my power out for most of the morning I had nothing better to do than knit. I started a pair of socks for my mother. These socks are little different from the other 15 or so pairs I have made. Mom doesn't like the high cuffs she is an ankle sock lady. I will be putting up the pattern later next week

Happy knitting!

  1. Poor Matt! Poor anniversary! Was he even awake enough to chew? At least the snow is supposed to be tapering off for a bit.

I love the ankle socks--not so long to knit!
