Snow Blowing

I have to laugh about this post. Since my husband and I have been together I have done ALL the snow removal. I liked doing it, I would put my mp3m player on and just shovel. So this year I told my husband that he would have to take care of the snow removal because I was going to be busy with school work. He was fine with that " no problem" he said. After the 1st snow fall I came home from school to see that he had gotten an old snow blower, that had been sitting in the garage for the last few years running. How funny, its a good thing I love him so much, or I would have been upset!

Chuck E Cheese

Me and the girls went down to Lacey's house today to take the girls to chuck e cheeses. When I got to Lacey's and I figured she knew where we were going. Boy was I wrong, she had no clue at all! It was a blind trip through Syracuse to try and find it. We eventually got there, we told the girls look out the window for it. The second they saw it all 3 of them were yelling and screaming in the back seat. All 3 of the girls had so much fun, Missy and Hailey have gone there before with me and my Grandma a few years ago. Destiny had never been before though. We were there for a few hours used all of our 150 tokens and then had to cash them in for prizes. That took forever, they each only had around 100 each and it was so hard for them to pick something out. When we were done we had to go get Destiny a new car seat. She was so excited she kept telling us over and over " I'm not a baby". It was a fun day, but I am SO glad to be home. The girls went right to bed and I haven't heard a peep out of them!

It may be winter, but who says we can't go swimming?

It is the end of January and the other night it did get down to -30F. who says we cant go swimming? I have spent the last 2 weeks studying non stop for my finals, and I was feeling like i hadn't spent much time with my 2 little girls. So I decided to take them swimming. I took them to the Indian River school pool and we had a blast! It was just the break I needed. There is a diving board at the 1 end that is 14 ft deep. Hailey didn't even hesitate to jump off. Missy, on the other hand was not to sure about it. She had to have Hailey in the water right below her to even think about jumping in. Once she did it the 1st time thought she was hooked. We had a great time.

Getting By

Well we got through Christmas and New Years! Christmas was nice, different this year without Grandma. .We were all thinking of her thought. My mother was good for the first half of the day but after dinner she locked herself in her room crying. It's understandable. I don't know what I would do if I lost my mother. She means so much to me, if I am having a bad day and just need to cry she listens. She listens to me if I need to vent, usually it is regarding Matthew. She Calls me out and tells me when I'm wrong. So I understand a little of what she is going through, I just wish I could do more for her so she doesn't have to feel this pain. New Years day was hard for the family due to the fact that Grandma would have turned 72. Melissa and Hailey said that Great Nina was probably in Heaven having a birthday party with her sister and her daughter Missy.
On a brighter note the girls and myself had 2 weeks off from school. it was Amazing! I forgot what it felt like to stay up late and sleep in. So relaxing. The weather was great so Matt didn't work to much those 2 weeks either. He was trying to make the girls an ice rink in the back lawn. It was 20'x20' the ice froze over, but 1 of the dogs walked on it. Matt waited a few days and tried to refill it and broke a waterline in the basement. We ended up taking the girls to the free ice rink to go skating. Matt did very well, but he worked there 1 winter when he was younger so he got all the free skating he could get. Hailey did good, she would start running then crash into the wall. It was funny! This was Missy's 1st time on the ice. She had to use a walker for her to even be able to stand on the ice. When we got in the car she said that ice skating was "SO LAME". I put on some skates and got on the ice also. I hadn't skated in years. I did alright at first then I fell and hit my head hard.
Well its was back to school yesterday for me and the girls. I have about 3 weeks of class left and 3 tests, and 3 finals. Then I head onto LPN2 program and graduate in June.
