Well we got through Christmas and New Years! Christmas was nice, different this year without Grandma. .We were all thinking of her thought. My mother was good for the first half of the day but after dinner she locked herself in her room crying. It's understandable. I don't know what I would do if I lost my mother. She means so much to me, if I am having a bad day and just need to cry she listens. She listens to me if I need to vent, usually it is regarding Matthew. She Calls me out and tells me when I'm wrong. So I understand a little of what she is going through, I just wish I could do more for her so she doesn't have to feel this pain. New Years day was hard for the family due to the fact that Grandma would have turned 72. Melissa and Hailey said that Great Nina was probably in Heaven having a birthday party with her sister and her daughter Missy.
On a brighter note the girls and myself had 2 weeks off from school. it was Amazing! I forgot what it felt like to stay up late and sleep in. So relaxing. The weather was great so Matt didn't work to much those 2 weeks either. He was trying to make the girls an ice rink in the back lawn. It was 20'x20' the ice froze over, but 1 of the dogs walked on it. Matt waited a few days and tried to refill it and broke a waterline in the basement. We ended up taking the girls to the free ice rink to go skating. Matt did very well, but he worked there 1 winter when he was younger so he got all the free skating he could get. Hailey did good, she would start running then crash into the wall. It was funny! This was Missy's 1st time on the ice. She had to use a walker for her to even be able to stand on the ice. When we got in the car she said that ice skating was "SO LAME". I put on some skates and got on the ice also. I hadn't skated in years. I did alright at first then I fell and hit my head hard.Well its was back to school yesterday for me and the girls. I have about 3 weeks of class left and 3 tests, and 3 finals. Then I head onto LPN2 program and graduate in June.
